A cozy if not slightly confusing home for my poetry, re-mem-ber is an exploration of writing about the things that do and don't matter as they do and don't matter; a poetry diary, if you will.

Yes, I do write, sometimes, in other langauges. English is my first language, but I've studied a few others and I'm not going to pretend like I have mastered any aspect of any of them. Why write in another language if it's not your native tongue, you say?
Well, languages feel different. Words feel different. My mindset is different. When I'm expressing myself in another language with my Big Adult Thoughts in my Little Infant Words, a certain magic shines through for me. There's a certain... rawness in that gap that sometimes feels more authentic than any words in the English dictionary I could try to find.
All of that said, I do, generally, try my best for everything to not come out atrocious, and I will try to translate-ish poems where they can be; but sometimes the spellings are wrong, or the grammar is wrong, or the thoughts are wrong. Even if that's the case, I'll leave them as is; because again, this is a diary, sort of.

No, I don't know why my name is goldfinch. A good part of this move was inspired by Kim Namjoon, who has this thing with fish. Which made me think of a fishbowl. Which made me think of a goldfish. And it just became goldfinch. So. Yup.

I have built everything on this site myself so it's probably an accessibiity mess, among other things. I'm going to apologize in advance for it – accessibility is coming surely but slowly.
That's about it. I hope you enjoy re-mem-ber. Be kind. Be nice. And have a lovely day!
